Batch Record Deletion

The Process to Batch Delete Records:

  1. Cataloging > Batch editing > Batch record deletion
  2. Select either bibliographic records or authority records
  3. From this tool, there are three ways that a library can enter the information on which records to delete
    1. load a file with biblionumbers or authids
    2. a list
    3. enter bibliographic numbers or authority IDs in the box provided, one per line
  4. Once the form is submitted, you will be presented with a summary of the records you are trying to delete
  5. If a record you want to delete can’t be deleted, it will be highlighted
  6. Select the records you want to delete and click the ‘Delete selected records’ button to finish the process
Additionally, there are links at the top of the table to select only the records without items, holds, or subscriptions.
