Batch Search Plugin for Koha

The Batch Search plugin can perform a batch ISBN search in Koha.

Batch Search Plugin

The first step is to install the Batch Search plugin. Then, in Administration > Manage plugins, you will click the Actions button for this plugin and select "Run the tool".


Setup

  1. There are two options to choose how to display the results of this tool - the screen or csv.
  2. Add the ISBNs to the white box that you would like to search for in your Koha system.
  3. The last option is a checkbox which tells Koha whether it should look for ISBN variations.
Once you add your list of ISBNs to the search, click "Run Report".

This report will display the bibliographic record information if that ISBN exists in the Koha system. If an ISBN doesn't exist, Koha will also indicate this.

There are handy buttons to show/hide the Not Found from the Found ISBNs, so a library can look at only the ones that were not found in the system instead of seeing both Found and Not Found.
