Koha supports eCommerce through third-party payment integration and plugins to allow patrons to pay fines, fees, and make donations directly through the (OPAC) or Aspen Discovery.

PayPal

Plugins

There are three additional ecommerce platforms, which are integrated with Koha using plugins. These plugins are available on ByWater’s github site, https://github.com/bywatersolutions . Any of these will allow patrons to pay their fines and fees through the OPAC at their convenience. Remember that you will need a merchant account with whichever platform you use.

  1. Plugin to enable OPAC online payments via FIS PayDirect
  2. Koha Pay Fees by File Plugin
  3. Plugin to enable OPAC online payments via PayGov
  4. Koha plugin to allow payments via Cloud Invoice on the OPAC
  5. Koha OPAC payment plugin for Govolution
  6. Plugin to enable OPAC online payments via Xpresspay
  7. Koha OPAC payment plugin for Nelnet But wait, there’s more!

SIP Options

SIP (Standard Interchange Protocol) enables the communication between the Koha ILS and library self-serve applications. This opens up a whole new world! Pretty much any service that uses SIP and allows patrons to manage their accounts will integrate with Koha. Examples of this include EnvisionWare and Comprise Technologies.

Comprise - This plugin allows a librarian to accept patron payments via Comprise SmartPAY card readers.
