Hourly Loans

Hourly Loans

Loaning items by the hour, instead of by the day, requires some additional set-up in Koha.

In addition to defining the Unit as hours, not days, in the circulation matrix, there are three options to determine the due date of an hour loan using the system preference, ConsiderLibraryHoursinCirculation
  1. Shorten the loan period and have the due date be at the library's close time
  2. Do not consider the library's opening hours
  3. Extend the due date and have the due date be at the library's open time
Next, in Administration > Libraries, edit the library to update/change/add new hours.
