Submitting a Bug in Bugzilla

Begin by logging in to Bugzilla. (If you need to create an account, follow these instructions.)
  1. Before creating a new bug, search Bugzilla to make sure your issue doesn't already exist.
    1. Results can be sorted by clicking on column headers.
    2. If there are many results, it can be helpful to search the results page by using control+F with a keyword.
    3. Alternately, you can use the Advanced Search to help narrow down your results from the start.
  2. If you don't see a bug that matches what you want to file, click 'New'.
  3. Select the type of bug. Most commonly, this will be 'Koha: Koha - Free Software ILS'.
  4. Component: Select or the area/module in Koha where you are experiencing a problem or want to suggest an enhancement.
  5. Version: If this issue is happening in a particular release, select it here. If it is not, select 'unspecified' at the bottom of the list.
  6. Summary: This is the title of your bug. When you start to type, Bugzilla will populate a list of matches from existing bugs. Review this list, and if you find any potential matches, please read them before submitting a new bug.
  7. Description: These are the details of the problem you're experiencing, or the new feature/enhancement you would like to suggest.
    1. Make sure to include details such as the steps you followed when the issue/problem arose.
    2. Screenshots can be added using the 'Add an attachment' button.
  8. Click the 'Submit Bug' button to finalize your submission.
